캣타워는 풍화(Weathering)를 주제로, 바람과 돌의 상호작용을 공간적으로 표현한 디자인이다.
고양이의 행동 특성인 지속적인 이동, 반복적인 동선 선호, 높은 곳 선호, 그리고 은신 및 휴식 행동을 반영하여 구조를 계획하였다.
곡선 형태의 경로는 바람의 흐름을 나타내며, 고양이가 끊임없이 움직일 수 있는 순환 동선을 형성한다. 또한 고양이가 반복적으로 이동하는 행동을 반영한 구조이다.
반면, 원통형 매스는 돌을 의미하며, 정적인 이미지와 대응되는 안정적인 공간으로서 고양이가 머무르고 쉬거나 숨을 수 있는 장소로 작용한다.
수직 기둥은 풍화 과정에서도 남아있는 잔존 구조를 상징하며, 동시에 전체 구조를 지지하고 공간에 리듬감을 형성한다.
결과적으로 이 캣타워는 동적인 흐름과 정적인 공간이 공존하는 구조 속에서, 고양이가 이동과 휴식을 반복적으로 경험할 수 있도록 설계되었다.

The cat tower is designed around the theme of weathering, spatially expressing the interaction between wind and stone.
The structure reflects key feline behaviors, including continuous movement, a preference for repetitive routes, seeking elevated places, and hiding or resting. Based on these characteristics, the overall form and circulation were carefully planned.
The curved pathways represent the flow of wind and create a continuous circulation route that allows cats to move freely throughout the structure. These pathways also reflect cats’ tendency to repeatedly travel along familiar routes.
In contrast, the cylindrical masses symbolize stones. As stable and static elements, they provide spaces where cats can stay, rest, or hide, creating a balance with the dynamic movement paths.
The vertical columns represent the remaining structures that endure throughout the weathering process. At the same time, they support the overall structure and establish a sense of rhythm within the space.
Ultimately, this cat tower is designed as a coexistence of dynamic flow and static space, allowing cats to repeatedly experience movement and rest within a single integrated environment
